Holmfirth Artweek 2026: Famiglia Exhibition Comes to Maker's Mill

At Devour, we've always believed that great food and great creativity belong together.

This summer, we're delighted to open the doors of Maker's Mill for the very first time as part of Holmfirth Artweek 2026. Located just across the road from Devour at The Dyehouse, Maker's Mill is a beautifully restored former woodworking mill that is currently being transformed into a creative workshop, events and exhibition space ahead of its full launch later in 2026.

It feels only fitting that one of its first public events celebrates something close to our heart and heart of Holmfirth itself: art, creativity and community.

Celebrating Holmfirth Artweek

For decades, Holmfirth Artweek has been one of Yorkshire's most beloved cultural events, attracting visitors from across the Holme Valley, Huddersfield and beyond. Each year, local artists, makers and creatives open their studios, exhibit their work and showcase the remarkable artistic talent that Yorkshire homes.

As a business deeply rooted in the Holmfirth community, we're proud to join in the celebration each year.

This year we’re holding our very own exhibition, Famiglia, a bringing together of four artists from one family, each with their own distinct creative voice.

Meet The Normans

The exhibition features the work of Lindsey Norman and Martin Norman and their daughters Daisy and Lily.

Many visitors to Holmfirth Artweek will already be familiar with Lindsey and Martin, both of whom have previously featured as Holmfirth Artweek spotlight artists in their own right.

Lindsey is renowned for her expressive and energetic depictions of wildlife. Her work captures the vitality, fragility and character of animals through bold mark-making and a distinctive style that favours atmosphere and emotion over strict realism.

Alongside her paintings sits the work of sculptor Martin Norman. With decades of experience creating moulds and casts for some of Britain's most celebrated contemporary artists, Martin's sculptures are tactile, narrative-led pieces that explore both natural forms and found objects with remarkable craftsmanship.

Joining them are daughters Daisy and Lily Norman, emerging artists bringing their own perspectives, styles and creative disciplines to the exhibition. Together, the four artists will showcase a fascinating conversation between generations, mediums and artistic influences.

Four Artists. One Family. One Exhibition.

The Famiglia Exhibition will showcase paintings, illustration, printmaking and sculpture within Maker's Mill, creating an exhibition that celebrates not only individual talent but the shared creativity that runs through generations.

Visitors are welcome to browse, enjoy and purchase the artwork throughout the exhibition, with 20% of all proceeds being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, Holmfirth Artweek's spotlight charity for 2026.

Entry is completely free.
